Mission:
Umbilical Pictures' aim is to "Reanimate" horror back to life. We value quality scripts, structure, and overall storyline that amounts to a formula for fear that glues you to your seats and will haunt your nightmares for years to come. With your audience support and investments, we will continue to strive to be the best that the genre has to offer.

HISTORY:
Umbilical Pictures was founded in 2004 by Anthony Glinski. He started the production company in conjunction with the then upcoming release of his first large-scale production, Willy Will.

Willy Will is a short film that began production in December 2003 as part of Temple University’s Senior Thesis requirements. This capstone class (Senior Projects) was the starting block for many great Philadelphia filmmakers and has been part of many successful productions.

During the production of Willy Will, and throughout Glinski’s studies at Temple, he has met many great people in the industry and hopes to maintain these contacts in order to fulfill, not only his goals as a filmmaker, but also aid in others’ goals as well. This, in part, is why Umbilical Pictures was created, to maintain a connection with local filmmakers and to continue making the films that we love.

Umbilical Pictures is built from the ground up by the efforts of the many who put their blood and sweat into creating films that mean something. These people are largely to thank for the success of these films as it was their support of Glinski’s scripts and productions that make Umbilical Pictures possible.

Most importantly are Umbilical Team members Stephen Breslin and Mike Finnegan. It was Breslin’s hard work, from production on through post production, that brought you "Time to Grow Up" (the Making of Willy Will) as well as both of the edits of the films. Breslin, President of 12:05 Productions, has worked closely with Anthony in bringing Willy Will to its full potential. His hard work and dedication is part of the life that fuels Umbilical Pictures.

On the other end is Mike Finnegan, the designer who has brought you this website, the Willy Will website, as well as (Coming Soon!) AnthonyGlinski.com. As a designer, Mike Finnegan has also brought you much of the design that you see within the sites and some of the artwork for our poster, DVD box, and DVD menu interface designs.

Though we are currently a small team, we have many connections in the industry and are here working hard to bring you the films that you cannot find anywhere else. These are the types of films that scared you when you were a child and still haunt your dreams to this day. We are not about the high budget and special effects that have become the norm for today’s “horror.” We value the knot that horror can tie in your gut, making you feel alive. And we aim to deliver!

So, come back often. Check out this site, as well as the sites of our friends and associates, and help keep independent horror alive. If you don’t… Remember… We know where you sleep at night and we know what makes you scream…

Help bring our films to life.
